To help you make the most of your three-day trip to Liechtenstein, we’ve put together a varied itinerary for you and your family. It combines exciting culture with hands-on nature experiences and encounters with animals—perfect for exploring the Principality together.

Day 1: Explore Vaduz at a leisurely pace

Start your first day of exploring with a ride on the Citytrain. The approximately 35-minute tour through the capital city of Vaduz gives you an exciting overview of the Principality and is a fun experience, especially for children. The Citytrain daily at 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Just a few steps from the Citytrain’s starting and ending points, you can immerse yourself in the world of the Princely House at the Altes Kino Vaduz. The short film“Princely Moments,”screening at 2:00 p.m., offers you and your family a cinematic glimpse into Vaduz Castle—Liechtenstein’s landmark—and life behind its walls.

You will then reach the Liechtenstein TreasureChamber in just a few minutes’ walk. Under the title “From the Principality Across the World to Outer Space,” you and your family can discover a special selection of treasures from the princely collections.

You can round off the day together with a cozy dinner at one of our restaurants.

Good to know: With the ALL INCLUSIVE Adventure Pass (included in the “Liechtenstein in 72 Hours” package), the round-trip ride on the Citytrain, a screening of the film “Fürstliche Momente” at the Altes Kino Vaduz, and a visit to the Liechtenstein Treasury are all free of charge.

 

Day 2: Experience Malbun firsthand

Spend your second day in the Liechtenstein mountains around Malbun. From Vaduz, you can easily reach the mountains in about 30 minutes for free by public bus and find yourself surrounded by nature. Malbun offers a wide range of activities, so you can plan your day exactly as you like.

Watch birds of prey up close, explore the mountains on a llama and alpaca trek, or test your skills at Alpine Minigolf. For little explorers, the nature trail offers exciting insights into the natural world.

Those who prefer to take it easy will find the Alpine Heart Trail or the Swing Trail are perfect for leisurely walks with stunning views. A break at Alp Pradamee invites you to linger and enjoy the moment.

For some extra variety, check out the Outdoor Adventure Rooms or take a ride on the chairlift to Sareis. Once you reach the top, the sun terrace offers an impressive view of Liechtenstein’s mountain landscape.

Whether you're looking for a place to grab lunch or enjoy a leisurely dinner, there's a selection of restaurants in the mountain region that are perfect for a relaxing meal.

Day 3: Between relaxation and exploring

On the third day, you can explore Liechtenstein once again at your own pace and on your own terms.

When the weather is nice, the Mühleholz Swimming Pool in Vaduz is the perfect place to take a refreshing break. Right next door, the mini-golf course offers some additional fun.

If you want to explore Liechtenstein in a fun way, go on a treasure hunt. Whether it’s the Foxtrail or the Detective Trail through Vaduz, team spirit and a sense of discovery are essential.

Even in bad weather, there are plenty of great alternatives. The Liechtenstein National Museum in Vaduz offers fascinating insights into history, culture, and nature. For some exercise and fun, there’s an indoor playground in Nendeln, which is about a 15-minute drive from Vaduz.
