Liechtenstein TreasureChamber

Description
Under the title "From the Principality across the world into space", the Liechtenstein TreasureChamber presents a representative selection of treasures from the Princely Collections, such as works of art made from precious materials, historical weapons, representative gifts from kings and emperors such as Frederick II the Great and Emperor Joseph II.
In addition, special treasures of the Liechtenstein native Adulf Peter Goop are presented, such as a selection of his famous Easter egg collection, which is unique in its diversity. The wealth of valuable Russian Easter eggs is outstanding, including the world-famous "Apple Blossom Egg" by Fabergé, other Easter eggs by Fabergé and other goldsmiths. Another highlight are the moon rocks from the Apollo 11 and Apollo 17 missions and the story of how these stones came to Liechtenstein. Of course, the famous design by Koloman Moser for Liechtenstein's first stamp is also included.
With the "ALL INCLUSIVE Adventure Pass" you enjoy free admission to the Liechtenstein TreasureChamber.

Princely hat
The Prince's Hat, also known as the "Prince's Bonnet", was ordered by Prince Karl von Liechtenstein from the jeweler Daniel de Briers. The Princely Hat was created in Frankfurt am Main and Prague and was completed in 1626. In 1978, a replica of the Princely Hat was created to mark the 40th anniversary of the reign of Prince Franz Josef II von und zu Liechtenstein. The Princely Hat is decorated with 26 pearls, 30 large and 99 small diamonds and 16 rubies.
Apple blossom egg
The famous "Apple Blossom Egg" was created by Karl Fabergé and his master craftsman Mikhail Perchin (1901) and comes from the former collection of Adulf Peter Goop. It was commissioned by Alexander Ferdinandowitsch Kelch, who gave his wife a Fabergé egg every year from 1898 to 1904. The apple blossom egg is one of the most precious of the seven so-called Kelch eggs from the Fabergé workshop in St. Petersburg.
Moon rock
The moon rock from the Apollo 11 mission with the Liechtenstein flag, which was actually on the moon in 1969, was a gift from Richard Nixon to Liechtenstein. With the moonstones and the Liechtenstein flags on the moon, the USA honored the contribution of the then Balzers AG (now part of OC Oerlikon) to the manned moon mission. Balzers AG, a world leader in vacuum technology and the manufacture of thin protective coatings, had supplied important components for the Apollo program.
