Liechtenstein is located in the heart of the Alps and is easily accessible from Switzerland and Austria. The well-developed LIEmobil bus network takes you reliably to the country's sights.
Arrival
Whether by car, train or bus - Liechtenstein is quick and easy to reach.
- from St. Gallen via the A13 highway (approx. 45 minutes)
- from Zurich via the A3 to Sargans, then onto the A13 (approx. 1 hour)
- from Munich on the A96, in Austria on the A14 (approx. 3 hours)
- from Innsbruck via the A12, S16 and then A14 (approx. 2.5 hours)
If you use the highways in Switzerland and Austria, you need a vignette. You can usually get these at petrol stations or service station stores. There are no customs borders between Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein.
International rail connections ensure comfortable travel to Liechtenstein.
At the Sargans, Buchs/SG and Feldkirch train stations, you can simply change to Liechtenstein's well-developed bus network (LIEmobil) and easily reach your vacation destination.

You can also reach Liechtenstein with the long-distance bus company FlixBus. FlixBus offers long-distance bus routes in Austria and neighboring countries, making it an environmentally friendly and cost-effective travel option. The buses stop at the Rheinparkstadion in Vaduz or in neighboring Feldkirch, from where you can easily reach Liechtenstein by public transport.
Liechtenstein itself does not have an airport. Nevertheless, you can get to Liechtenstein from an airport within an hour.

Public transportation
The LIEmobil buses will take you to your destination reliably and at a reasonable price. The timetable is generous and the Swiss train stations Sargans and Buchs as well as the Feldkirch train station in Austria are served regularly. With LIEmobil, you can get to all places of interest quickly and safely.
