Sporty winter enjoyment
Cross-country skiing is a popular winter sport in Liechtenstein. No wonder, as it is the ideal way to enjoy the wintry landscape - which could hardly be more idyllic. The cross-country skiing paradise of Steg is located at an altitude of 1300 m, on the access route to the popular Malbun alpine ski area.
It offers 12 km of groomed trails, equally suitable for classic and skating styles. Regardless of whether you want to glide along in the wonderfully peaceful natural landscape or do some ambitious endurance training - every cross-country skiing fan will get their money's worth here. Even in the dark: three kilometers of the cross-country trail are floodlit in the evening.

Swiss cross-country ski pass (valid throughout Switzerland and Liechtenstein): CHF 160
- The trails are maintained from December to mid-March
- Official markings with instructions for trail users and winter hikers must be observed
- Winter hikers are requested not to leave the marked hiking trails
- Trail closures due to avalanche danger or current weather conditions must be observed and adhered to at all times
- Please do not leave waste lying around
- The "Grund" parking lot is located directly at the entrance to the trail
- Public toilets are located at the parking lot
- The "Loipahütte" Hut offers a cozy tea corner and serves as a changing room
