Route 66 hut tour

Experience the beauty of the Liechtenstein Alps on the Route 66 hut tour. This three-day tour takes you along scenic ridge paths, past idyllic alpine meadows and through romantic valleys. Look forward to breathtaking sunrises, cozy hut evenings and the warm hospitality of the region. The package does not include the complete Route 66 to Ruggell, but ends in Planken - all the main highlights of the route are nevertheless included.

Program:

Day 1:

The trip starts in Vaduz with a drive to Malbun. Depending on your arrival and the time available, you have the choice of spending a relaxing night in the idyllic vacation resort of Malbun or setting off on a hike straight away. You can reach the Sareiserjoch at 2000 meters by chairlift or on foot. From here, follow the"Fürstin Gina" Trail" to the Augstenberg mountain, accompanied by bright alpine flowers and magnificent views (duration: approx. 4 hours). Overnight stay and dinner at the Pfälzer hut at 2108 meters.

Day 2:

Early risers can look forward to an unforgettable sunrise on the Naafkopf mountain (2570 m), where the borders of Austria, Switzerland and Liechtenstein meet. Back at the Pfälzer hut, a hearty breakfast will fortify you for the next stage: via Alp Gritsch through the picturesque Valünatal valley to Gänglesee lake (duration: approx. 4 hours). You will spend the night in a cozy hotel in Triesenberg.

Day 3:

After a hearty breakfast, the tour continues from Gaflei. The highlight of the day is the challenging tour via the Fürstensteig Trail and the Drei Schwestern mountain chain - spectacular mountain climbs with breathtaking views. The Gafadura hut invites you to stop for refreshments before you make your way back to the valley before sunset.

How to get there: There are various public parking spaces available for cars in Vaduz (most of them chargeable). The ideal starting point is the "Marktplatz" garage opposite the "Vaduz, Post" bus stop - from here bus no. 21 runs in the direction of Malbun.
