The lighthouse, a cultural project of the Office for Culture, is a sound body that can sing like a whale.

Description

The lighthouse is a cultural project of the Office of Culture and marks important cultural institutions or cultural assets with a radiant character for Liechtenstein for a certain period of time.

Lighthouses are one of mankind's oldest means of communication, are a symbol of safety and orientation and provide a signal that shows the way in difficult waters. Today, however, it is primarily intended to mark important cultural landmarks in Liechtenstein.

Lighthouse "Moby" is also a body of sound, as it can sing like a whale when its belly is made to vibrate with a clapper. Moby was created by artist and sound keeper Roman Rutishauser and his son Hannes from St. Gallen on behalf of the Office of Culture especially for the Art Harbour of the 2023 Artists' Meeting of the International Lake Constance Conference (IBK).
