A weekend in the Principality
Vaduz Castle in Liechtenstein, surrounded by autumn-colored trees and sunny skies

Small country - great diversity

Two days in Liechtenstein give you a weekend full of variety. From panoramic summit views to museum visits, from enjoying wine to relaxing in a mountain village - your short break can be so versatile.

Panoramic tour

Start your day in Malbun. Take the chairlift to the Sareiserjoch and enjoy the "Fürstin Gina" Trail. The circular hike is one of the most beautiful in the Principality: it leads from Malbun over the Augstenberg mountain with spectacular views to the Pfälzer hut at the foot of the Naafkopf mountain. On flower-filled ridges and panoramic trails, you will experience Liechtenstein's Alpine landscape at its most impressive.

Town of Vaduz

The capital of Liechtenstein is your next stop late afternoon. A ride on the Citytrain takes you through historic Vaduz and offers insights into the country's history and culture. Afterwards the Museum Mile invites you to make exciting discoveries. The evening is best rounded off in one of the many restaurants in the town.

Nature in the Unterland (lowlands)

Start the second day with a visit to the Ruggell Wetland, an impressive nature reserve in the north of Liechtenstein. Especially in spring, when the Siberian iris is in bloom, this area is a highlight for nature lovers. The lowlands also offer numerous sights for history buffs, such as the castle ruins in Schellenberg.
