Birka bird paradise

The Birka bird paradise is a popular excursion destination with a children's playground and biotope.
Description
The Birka area was acquired by the municipality of Mauren in 1971 and its care was transferred to the Ornithological Society. The association looked after this small nature reserve and created a bird paradise. Today, the Birka bird paradise is a popular excursion destination with a children's playground, biotope and clubhouse. Numerous bird species, including parakeets, macaws, amazons, peacocks, parrots and pheasants, can be observed. Rare plants and amphibians can also be discovered on a walk in the adjacent nature reserve.
There is a kiosk with snacks and drinks next to the clubhouse. The bird paradise is accessible free of charge.
