Nestled against the mountains, the Principality of Liechtenstein is the smallest of the Alpine countries and is located in the 4-country corner near Lake Constance: with an area of 160 km² and around 40,000 inhabitants, it is significantly smaller than its neighboring states. The small, noble hereditary monarchy is characterized by its multifaceted culture, breathtaking nature and delightful diversity.
Program Day 1:
Explore the center of Vaduz on a short walk and stop by the official tourist office, theLiechtenstein Center,” to get a souvenir stamp as a memento of your stay in the Principality. On a 35-minute ride on the Citytrain know the capital city of Vaduz better and stop at the Prince’s Winery for a small tasting of princely wines. You’ll round off the evening at your hotel with a delicious dinner.
Program Day 2:
On a 2-hour tour of the country accompanied by a tour guide, you will get to know a special side of Liechtenstein and quickly gain an overview of this small but exciting principality. In the afternoon, you will discover the Museum Mile in Vaduz. Particularly worth mentioning is the Liechtenstein TreasureChamber, which displays unique exhibits under the motto "From the Principality across the world into space" and the expansion of the Liechtenstein Art Museum with the Hilti Art Foundation exhibition building. You can also visit the Liechtenstein NationalMuseum and the Liechtenstein PostMuseum. Finally, you can take a virtual look behind the princely castle walls and learn more about the princely family at the Old Cinema Vaduz.
Another highlight of this 2-day tour is a visit to the bird of prey show at the Galina falconry in Liechtenstein's Alpine region of Malbun.
