The Peace Chapel in Malbun was built as a sign of gratitude for Liechtenstein being spared during the Second World War.
Description
The Catholic Peace Chapel in Malbun is located at 1627 m above sea level and was built between 1950 and 1951 according to plans by architect Johannes Hugentobler. It is dedicated to the peace patrons Mary and Brother Klaus as thanks for sparing Liechtenstein from the consequences of the Second World War. The single-nave chapel made of natural stone has a flat-roofed choir and a belfry above the roof ridge.
