Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation Grant Collection: Body – Space – Volume
Description
The promotional collection has been built up by the Principality of Liechtenstein since 1964 as a documentation and representation of contemporary Liechtenstein art in the visual arts. Since 2008, the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation has been responsible for the promotional collection of contemporary art in Liechtenstein.
The purchase of representative works aims to provide a balanced and comprehensive documentation of Liechtenstein's artistic output. Each purchase promotes visual artists whose works represent an aspect of Liechtenstein's cultural history. As the Cultural Foundation is the sponsor of the Engländerbau art space, this collection exhibition is being held in the art space, which is a meeting place for contemporary local and regional art.
Under the theme of Body – Space – Volume, curators Doris Bühler and Elmar Gangl focus on sculpture and sculptural art. Selected exhibits from the genres of drawing, printmaking, collage, installation, film, photography, and tapestry complement the presentation of the Liechtenstein Cultural Foundation's collection. The 70 or so works are as diverse as the more than 30 artists represented in the exhibition.
The artworks in the promotional collection are available to members of the government and government employees, Liechtenstein embassies, and employees of the national administration for use in decorating their premises under a loan agreement. This is like a permanent exhibition in various locations, but one that is only accessible to the public to a limited extent. This exhibition from the sponsorship collection, which will be followed by further presentations, therefore provides an insight into the diverse The Latest inventory The Latest 000 works.
