Dementia - discussion group for relatives

The group is intended to provide inspiration, support and motivation in the tasks and challenges of dealing with people suffering from dementia.
Description
Family caregivers experience challenging situations, recurring stress and often isolation in everyday life with people with dementia. Experience shows that getting together with "like-minded people" can help:
- not feeling alone
- to experience that others feel the same way
- to learn that others have had helpful experiences with different approaches
- to leave such a meeting feeling stronger
The discussion groups are thematically open. Sometimes they focus on a particular topic related to dementia. There should always be enough time for mutual exchange and questions. The aim of the group is to provide inspiration, support and motivation for the tasks and challenges involved in dealing with people suffering from dementia. Having interesting conversations with other family caregivers and experiencing an atmosphere in which we can laugh together again is considered just as important as imparting knowledge. The group is moderated and professionally supervised.
The discussion group is an open offer. There is no obligation for the participants; there are no prerequisites for participation. For this reason, we agree that all participants will maintain confidentiality regarding the personal content discussed at each individual meeting.
