Marco Büchel is an enthusiastic hiker. One of his favorite tours in Liechtenstein is the hike along the Fürstensteig Trail and the Drei Schwestern mountain chain - "the hike with its breathtaking views fascinates me every time".
Malbun
It was in the Liechtenstein ski resort of Malbun that Marco Büchel laid the foundations for his career as a ski racer. He still enjoys spending time in Malbun today - whether hiking in summer or skiing or ski touring in winter. With its wide range of possibilities, Malbun is the perfect place for all outdoor fans.
National holiday
August 15 is a highlight of the year for Büxi: "It's a day when the whole country comes together - be it at the official state ceremony or at the folk festival in the town of Vaduz. A highlight for me is the traditional torchlight procession along the Fürstensteig Trail. The evening hike with all the lights and the sense of community it creates is an unforgettable experience."

Büxi enthuses: "After a day in the mountains, there's nothing better for me than stopping off at a cozy restaurant and enjoying a portion of the traditional Liechtenstein dish Käsknöpfle ."
